Wow, what a whirlwind the last few weeks have been! In June and July alone, the round welcomed five new authors: Shelly Sanchez (Learning to Go), Carol Rainbow and Christel Schneider (Making and Using Machinima in the Language Classroom), Michael McCollister (A Community of Readers), and Philip Kerr (A Short Guide to Adaptive Learning in English Language Teaching) Needless to say, we need a break!
And since summer holidays are upon us, we too are finding it harder to sit behind a desk, stay inside a classroom, and stay glued to our computers. That means we’re giving into the sunny temptation and taking a holiday.
We won’t be reviewing any new submissions until after the summer, so if you submit a proposal in July or August, please don’t expect to hear back from us until September at the earliest. We’ll be taking a real break, something all us hard-working teachers should do from time to time.
In the meantime, why not take advantage of the holidays to catch up on your reading? Since January 2014, 8 new titles have been added to the round, so you’ll find all the summer reading you need (and maybe even enough to carry you into autumn and winter too!)
Have a good break, enjoy your travels, and we’ll see you in September!
